Depegging

Depegging refers to the process of uncoupling or disassociating one currency or asset from another to which it was previously pegged. In the context of stablecoins or currencies, depegging involves breaking the fixed exchange rate or valuation link between the stablecoin and the asset (such as a fiat currency) it was originally pegged to.
