Currency pair

The currency pair is a quotation of two different currencies, where the value of one currency is expressed in terms of the other. A currency pair has two parts:

  • The first part is the base currency. It is the currency against which the exchange rate is measured.
  • The second part is the quote currency. It is the currency in which the exchange rate is measured.
